bumping for cool potential info. Never heard this before..but assumed what the vendors said. Likely due to our lifter tolerances 7.05 was the closest and good enough match.

Being that we only have the option of adjusting lifter preload through pushrod length, this could be pretty critical mis-information for someone aiming for maximum performance. for instance. . if a guy orders 7.00" rods to reduce preload by .05 but stock rod's are actually 7.023 he's really only reducing preload by .023 which may not be enough.Originally Posted by BillBoost37
I will have my stock rod's out of the car this weekend. anybody have any tips on how to accurately measure them? 8" digital caliper is the only thing that comes to mind
