When it comes to tuners and doing it yourself dont forget about:

A.) People who don't have time to learn how to tune
B.) People who don't care about learning how to tone

Then they should think twice about their motives and reasons for modding the car. When you get to the point of needing a tune, you're already getting fairly deep. If you're just looking to wake your car up and be done with it, then a PCM is a good idea. But if you fully have the intention of continuing to mod your car a tuner is a no brainer.

    Not exactly correct.

These same guys telling you you should tune yourself are the same ones asking tuning questions on other forums.

I would love to give my input on a PCM but I am still working on getting some kind of answer from Will at Over kill. I can't even count how many emails I have sent wit hvery few replies. I still have the faulty PCM from the first from Sept 6th which screwed up my entire DIC and fuel. I have not received a replaement one yest either. If I get a reply from Will I am lucky. I guess I will have take other actions, I have no other options, and can't belive I have been dragged thorugh hell over a PCM.

Ahh ... don't be so fast to to put folks in buckets. In my case, I have a 150K mi DD 2K GT. Got the <0.080 hole in the emission error and now the air pump is dead. Getting a PCM with emission codes fixed gets me past inspection for less$$ than pump and less time than smoke testing the emission leak. It's good to know if a PCM company is decent ...or not.

PLEASE...how many different things have you had on your car. You are the most inconsistent person in the GP community I have ever came across...complaining about a rough cam (XP)...griping that Dave's Triple Edge Transmission shifts too hard. Really? It's a race tranny...

THOSE guys are the ones that discover everything and help people like YOU help you make your car run right. If they aren't allowed to ask questions then what is the point of trial and error? Ever think that is how the GTP community began anyhow?

Sure it might have been a older post but I'd like to add...without those people I wouldn't be anywhere NEAR of what I know today.

people that don't have time to learn how to tune??

    A) that's ridiculous lol, guess that's the same guy that pays someone to mow his lawn and change his oil because "he doesn't have time" to do it himself. Sounds like your typical American to me, L.A.Z.Y.
B)Those are the same people that pay someone to do everything for them, while they are "car guys" not "gear heads" to me they lay somewhere between car salesmen and those dumb ass people that spend their life going door to door selling useless house cleaning products that don't work.

People who don't care about learning how to tune??

ahh... those people... ohhh i know those people. They are the same people that constantly ask the same question over and over and over because they refuse to read the sticky's that explain every answer to their question. The same people that open up a box with a box cutter and destroy what's inside the box because they didn't take the time to read the note on the side of the box saying DO NOT USE KNIFE TO OPEN. Yeah i know those people....

Don't stand up for people like that, I obviously wasn't talking about those people so why would you even mention something so ignorant?
