Supercharger Vac Hose Routing Alternative?

so i have a 97 gtp with a 98+ gen 3.

is there a reason why i cant route the vac hoses like a 97. top of sc to boost actuator to solenoid, to FPR. then just a single vac hose from LIM to MAP sensor, instead of looping them?

i hate having that tee under the snout, i feel like the map will get a more accurate reading as well without looping it.

my only concern is the FPR not getting a solid vac/pressure adjustment, being it is at the end of the line that the vac or boost reaches.

edit: only other reason i can see, is the boost solenoid needs to see vac or boost on both sides to operate properly? how the 97 is set up, it gets boost/vac on both sides, from the top tree and from the side tree

damn, i forgot our superchargers dont boost in the cases, they compress in the LIM/ports.. roots SC's are the only ones like that.

that tree is before the rotors.

No matter what compressor you're using, if the connection is before the compressor, it will not see boost.

I have to read to learn it all.

And not to make you sound dumb, but how would the MAP see a better reading with it not looped? Aslong as the map has a line going to it, its going to be correct.

I don't think so, heres the diagram:


AFAIK the lower tree should see boost, both the FPR and bypass solenoid would need it to operate as intended.

UTI in dallas has 3 performance classes in their curriculum Hotrod : bolt on performance , hotrod 2, superstreet(dyno tuning)

they taught us quite a bit about turbo and supercharged applications. but that is only 3 courses out of the 21.


and i just feel like more direct reading and less chance for pressure leak with all the loops and tee offs

Neither device consumes or expels air. As a result, there should be no supply/accuracy issues.
