Just wondering what kind of aftermarket intakes everyone has been running on their gtp's?? Also if anyone is running an open cone style of intake, if you have any problems driving through heavy rain?

This is the first of any mods that I will have done to my car so any suggestions are helpful..

Heavy rains will no affect it however submerging it will, if the former were true all the cars of the 60's and 70's with those huge hood scoops would have did during the first spring rains

I got a slight loss in horsepower in heavy rain after driving for two hours straight at 80+ mph. Not serious, but noticeable.

Id get one of those JMB (JBM?) fenderwell intakes. its basically just one smooth tube that goes straight to the fender, and it looks nice.

Either slap a filter onto the throttle body for a cheap intake or do this:

Very simple to follow, and not much tools needed at all.

bought 45 degree rubber from ebay, and filter from ebay, was $55 all together.
no tools? no prob need one screwdriver and a adjustable wrench maybe at the most. you can use anything to cut a circle for iat sensor, i used a dremel tool but my first intake i took a knife poked into the rubber and did circles tell the hole was big enough. just dont cut yourself lol
