How the heck do I take off the plastic cover that is on top of the motor but under the oil spout, 2007 Pontiac grandprix

Twist oil spout to left and remove it.

Are you sure because it looks to be apart of a plastic valve covering bolted to the block underneath

Ask yourself this, "how would I remove the front valve cover if I can't remove the engine cover?".
Answer: You can remove the engine cover by twisting the oil spout to the left.

I had to use a sawzall to get mine off oil caps are so tricky.

It also took me 50seconds to pull mine off....

Wrap a chain around the cover, attach the other end to a tree rev it up throw in in reverse, job done, and now its Miller time

reminds me of the blond who was looking for a 710 cap... and for those who dont get it OIL = 710 upside down.
