In the end a scanner should be your first mod. Im sure thats something everyone here can agree on. How people drive around without monitoring detonation is beyond me. It seems like youre more concerned with sound than anything else. You can build whatever catback you like, thats your preference. But at the end of the day that is not going to flow no better than the real bottlenecks of the system which are the manifolds and the downpipe. If you dont want headers right now just get the pulley, intake, pcm, plugs, and scan. Many of us ran for years like this with zero problems. Also if carbon build up is a concern seafoam the engine.
