Yeah there hasn't been any update in a long time???
After the Pontiac Uprising here, the idler and tensioner pulleys were removed to have a few touched up, and a whole new cogged one created, see my last post before this one.
The machine shop I am working with is pretty backed up, I'm currently waiting on him to clear some of his work, so I can get in there and help re machine a few parts, and then they will go back on, and test, and see how much better it is.
Sorry if its taking too long for you guys, but I would rather change a little at a time and have it done right, rather than change too much and that be in the wrong direction, and have to start over on a replacement part because I goofed.
The way its looking, there wont be a "video" till after the 1st of the year for sure. My nitrous spacer plate is almost done, being revamped to the GenV, cause when I built it, I was still running a GenIII, and I also changed a few small things on it for how the N20 is injected through it to hit each intake runner. Its going to be pimp for sure, cant wait to sit that under my new supercharger, and run the giggle juice again.

Checkin' that out at Branson first hand was pretty *****in' no doubt. Had me guessing like Shawn the couple days...until you popped the hood.
A lot of R&D really did go into this guys...the vid and pics to not really do this system justice unless you see it up close...and HEAR it too
If anyone has ever heard a big 'ol Weiland blower up close on a semi-quiet drag car...pretty comparable to that IMO...just a little whine/whistle when the cam lopes...f'ing sick.

Good stuff. I liked the cogged idea but i dont like the idea of messing with the oil filter location too much. Unless its really easy to space out the oil filter or relocate it.
Does the crank pulley have to be that wide? Looks great though and you got it to work.
Roughly around $1,800.00 in materials and tooling I would estimate. My time, invested into it, priceless. I am not keeping my hours logged at all, or adding that into the over all price. Lets say, there was about 3-4 months of planning, and research, and then around 2.5 weeks worth tooling off and on. Then now that its made...just little adjustments here and there brushing stuff up on the lathe, or creating a few new different pulleys to try out.
Don't think I am some well off guy with a career or anything. I work full time, go to college part time, working on remodeling my home...bust-busy-busy. I'm only 28 and still earning.

Yes, all you need is a oil fileter neck spacer, a spacer only 1/4" think would be more than enough, or if your a tight ass...just bend the side of your oil filter in to get the belt in and out. But many would prefer to do things correctly I imagine. A spacer could be made no problem...or just buy one off ZZP that they use with their over sized 8 ribbed balancer.
The crank pulley wide? Well yes it does. The belt is only 1 1/4" wide, and that leaves around 1/16" of an inch on either side of the belt, where there is extra pulley there to allow the belt to float when you drop the pedal, cause the belt will change directions when there is a great amount of force driving it under a WOT run/spurt of the throttle when the RPM increases.
Its a bit different dealing with this type of set up. Meaning almost anybody can make a serpentine set up work, thats easy...cause the grooves in the belt run with the grooves in the pulleys.
Same thing here...but I have to counter act, the need of the belt to want to float out of the grooves, cause its a bit tricky keeping things perfectly in line, and not slide out of the teeth, off the pulley. Serpentine set ups...only way this happens is if you don't set the belt in the right grooves when you install the belt, will it track wrong.
I have learned to push rope successfully with this project. LOL

You could, but not in the original design and to add them...would require a lot more machining. Not really needed though. The two with the edges already on them do a great job or keeping the belt on track, I'm adding in a 3rd one, that sits way out by its self, the one on the coil bracket will have sides now as well.
The problem I found after Branson with the tracking, was the stock tensioner O.D. "nub" that the bearing of the pulley rides on is under sized, so when I added this system onto it, it had so much play, and so much belt tension, it was the cause of the problem for making the belt want to ride up on, or rub against the sides of the two pulleys that had sides/edges on them which, cause some premature belt wear. Now that flaw is found, and being corrected, and an additional pulley being built...things are looking MUCH better for a sounder system, that puts out some amazing sound.

Uploaded a little shot video made from under the hood I took a while back. Start...a few engine revs, and then shut down.
Video was made in the garage...so next one, will be out side on the street, and will have a little driving involved, and maybe some tire smoke.

That was the last video I took before the supercharger was yanked off for the winter time modding to come for this new year. Some may like the new little changes to come under the hood for '09, some may think its just stupid.
