I was on the hi way revving out the engine and this happened. The engine shakes and sputters.

Didn't know the other one posted. The exhaust is broken. So no cat on it.

If I lift the pipe then it would be stock

    Any SES lights?

    Any misfires?

Those MSD coils are junk, replace with stock.

I'd pull the plugs just for the hell of it to see what they look like.

It is misfiring. Checking the plugs tomorrow. I'm hoping that is what it is. I've done a lot of mods but never changed the plugs. I'm not sure what are in it. I just hope I didn't bend a push rod

bending a push rod is a least of your worries.

Having a chipped piston is what you dont want to see.

If any of the plugs have missing tops, you have internal damage.

But you wont know till you take them out.

If the plugs are old and worn, that will typically show up slowly over time with loss of performance and bad fuel economy. Since your issue happened quickly while "revving out the engine", I doubt it would be cause by worn plugs.
How much KR did you have before the problems started?

So you've done "a lot of mods" but never changed the spark plugs??? Not good. I have a feeling we could see another longblock on the way. Is the CEL on? Have you scanned it for codes anyway even if its not on? That can tell us a lot.

What are your mods? Besides the MSD coils (which has already been mentioned to change back to stock) and MSD wires. Looked like a smaller pulley on the S/C as well. Running premium (91+ octane) in it all the time?

Sounds as good as my friend's car when he chipped a few pistons.

Looks like you probably chipped a piston to cause that.

I wouldnt have gone with iridums, but they might work,

Because of your mods, its best to run a colder plug with the power you are pushing. Autolte 104's would have been better, but I guess you'll have to see how the car performs.

Why colder? Everyone always told me hotter spark for hi proformance engines. Hot coils plus and ignition.

You want to run the hottest spark possible for the mods you have. Which means you dont want to run a stock plugs because thats too hot.

    delco is stock heat range

    605's are 1 step colder
    104's are 2 steps colder
    103 are 3 steps colder

With the mods you have, you are running alot more HP than stock and alot more boost than stock, so with all that extra fuel and air you dont want to have a spark plug that runs really really hot.

The coils on your car do absoluty nothing to help gain a hotter spark, the ignition system can only put out so many volts and those coil packs cant change that. MSD coils are junk and are known to cause problems.

Its not the best explanation of why, but more reading on your part and your figure out why you need colder plugs.

From what I gather, you modded your car without any knowledge of how these cars work or you bought it already modded.

You should sit down and read what your mods are doing for the car and how they work. You need to understand how the motor works to understand why fuel, air and spark are so important when modding.
