    OK installing my headers next week I have an A$$load of wrap left over from something else its high quality stuff. the question is do I wrap them or not?
    81 T/A pure Pontiac 350,700r4 3.23's coming soon pure Pontiac 462 06 gt wizaird,XS power Headers,zzp ss ic,overkill tune 180 stat autolite 104's, 3.6 pulley.Special Edition HORNY DRIVER mod.

    I thought wrap was good?

    It gets wet...rusts...in the way..you'll cut your hands on the bands.. name it.

    I would say just the crossover to keep temps down but that is all, wrap is good to keep temps down of course but traps all the heat on the headers which can cause or lead to them cracking/welds opening up. Just my .02 on this.

    mayb i should keep the power log and downpipe on it woth the ceramic coated crossover.

    How much heat/power do you think the wrap/ceramic is helping?

    i wrapped mine and it helped keep under hood temps down but thats it

    2002 GTP: K&N, 3.2 pulley, flipped mounts. ZZP SS headers, 180 stat, NGK TR6's, MSD wires, Reptile ported TB, ported S/C, ported LIM, Intense Stage II heads with larger Manley severe duty SS valves, Yella Terra 1.9 full roller rockers, LS6 springs, Racetronix fuel pump re-wire, Oil pressure "kit", JMB FWI. Mustang dynoed at 240 WHP, 272 WTQ.
