    Hi sorry if this is dumb but I new to this car I got a 99 gtp with 159xxx its stock besides fender wall intake and sometimes on start up it chugs for like 5 senconds and also sometimes lags wen I get on it but geta past it if i.get on her more.. I bought cat from one owner old man so not beatin to sh!t... Im thinkin fuel fillter? fuel pump kinda sounds loud at idle? But I may just not be use to this one.. I was also told it had small intake leak I have yet to see lose of anti freeze and no its not going in oil thought id thro that in there if that may create this problem from mabe a vaccume leak? Any suggestions guys? Thanks mike

    Yes, check the "T" fitting under the S/C snout. They like to rot there. And of course all other vac lines. Sounds like it's time for plugs/wires/fuel filter and then go from there. Take a look at the "Safely modding your 3800" thread to get the proper brand and type of spark plugs. No Platinums or Bosch. Go w/ lifetime warranty wires. Delco's are good.

    Are you running at least 91 octane fuel in it? If not, then do so before you destroy a piston or 2.

    ^^ That guy knows what's up. The car chugging/studdering sounds like a vacuum leak or tune up.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I always run 91 octane.. I think it read around 12 vacuum ill have to double check.
