changed my plugs and wires today, and noticed for one there was oil on back side of block built up in sparkplug boot covers. im guessing its gonna be the rear valve cover seal. but any who this is the question what is the little green wire wich looks cuts of the coil pack?

Can't see that there is any other end to it going into the ICM connector. Is there one? If not..maybe an old remote starter.

Nope..I think you already mentioned the most common cause and you'd be the one to know if the rear cover has been replaced and shouldn't be leaking. No way am I going to try and disprove a solid theory like yours.
