    Is there any special things i need to do before i just get in and drive i did a top swap to a n/a 3800 out of a 97 bonneville into my 98 regal it was supercharged and i swaped all motor externals to ensure compatability is there any special things i need to do before just getinging in and driving it has all new top end gaskets also

    you need a tune badly if you havent done so, but you CAN drive it i believe

    I know gt tunes are to aggressive for the na 3800 but if my car is suposda have the supercharger i figured it would be ok to run i didnt plan on rodding on it just didnt wana hurt any thing but this is my first engine removal tear down and swap and installed all alone no helper

    Is your compression still 8.4:1?...or did you swap the rods/pistons?

    Kept the na pistons the sc 3800 was blown up

    So this wasn't a top swap, right? You just replaced an L67 with an L36, correct? If so, yea, you'll need a tuner or call ZZP and tell them what you did. They could probably help.

    Oh, now after thinking about it I understand. You put the bottom end of an L36 in your car and retained the supercharger.

    Sorry about that, but yea, you can run it if the stock pulley is on the SC. A good tune couldn't hurt.

    have that forum just didnt know if i had to do any like idle run for a while or any special things to break in the mortort but its not brand new so urr right thanks alot
