    hi i am new to this site i have a 98 regal gs 3800 sc i am doing a motor swap and cannot find this hiden bolt u need the long extension for i hav e stands lights and a full garage to work in but this one bolt is thru the pass wheel wel is ther a braket blocking the bolt from my veiw thanks guys any help would be great

    Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
    Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
    Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

    i have most of the bolts out i gota take ac pump off and motor mounts and a few plugs but cant find this bolt im told about i know it takes a long extension 24 inches or better seen his thread but didnt actually find pics i know most things are pretty obvious i have a hayes manual but it doesnt really tell where they are on the motor specificly and realy says the only way to take it out is drop cradle but motor out hood is the only way to go if i only take motor out i know it comes out ive helped pull the,m just not all alone this is first real motor by myself ive atempted

    I'm sure Bill will be by later today to clear it up for you. Dude can smell which bolt you're talking about. He knows its chemical composition and how many threads it has. He knows which plant made it, and where the raw materials were mined. He once met the guy that designed the bolt and the guy bought Bill's drink. He has a shadow box containing that bolt on a wall in his garage, to match his silk boxers printed with the serial number of it.

    Im gonna guess the bolt that holds the trans to the motor under the crossover near the egr....

    did you remove the 3 bolts on the TC? then you put just a little pressure on the hoist to support the motor and push it away from the trans to separate

    THANKS BOOST UR THREAD WORKED GREAT FOR THE ENGINE REMOVAL i have all TC bolts out ac pump alt pwr strin pmp cant find main harness plug for injecters or do i have to indevidually unplug the injectors? and if so do the little metal clips come off or just pull out some and unplug i pulled a liottle but i know how fuel stuff can be brittle and i am doing a sc swap do i have to have heads from a sc motor or just intake and pulleys ect?

    only the exhaust is stoping me from pulling motor i got side off but the other wont budge and it may be on the virge of striping any sugestions?
