So the V6 Camaro and Firebird use a 3800 and both have rwd manual setups. Why cant we bolt on those for a manual conversion vs. the Gretag?

Well that'll do it for me lol. Even if you remount the engine longitudinally and open up the trans housing?

You should read a few articles on how transmissions work.

So pretty much you want to ditch the factory sub frame, transmission, and most of the unibody, create all custom pieces to remount the engine, and trans, then run a drive shaft to the rear and completely redo the rear suspension to mount an axle. sounds like a lot of pointless work to me.

its a hell of a lot more fun than an automatic fwd. And if you run the driveshaft through the exhaust tunnel on the 04+ itll work. youd need to rework the exhaust but could work. Nothing worth doing is ever easy

You could sell your grand prix for 3000, then buy a 10 second camaro easily enough. Seems stuipd to put 100+ hours into basically building car from scratch.
