^do tell
Assuming you have a 97-03
Unhook the air intake, unbolt the fuel rail and push it aside, unhook any vacuum lines and electrial connections, take belt off sc, unbolt sc, remove sc and clean any gasket material off. install in reverse.
ok thanks and i was just wondering my next question is is it hard to port and polish them? and if not what tools do i need? and can i get instructions for how to do that
Why are you replacing it or are you just pulling it off to p&p it? To do that you'll need some grinding stones and some sanding flapper wheels of different grits. It took me about 5-6 hours to do mine because i took my time and had to let my drill cool off a few times.
i was thinking about porting and polishing.....can you give me detailed instructions on how to do that?
So I have a spare supercharger and i took it apart and the housing had a bronzish tint to the inside...is that ok? And the snout had a little play in it and since I'm gonna p&p I figure I might as well fix it while I'm at it...how do I get rid of the play?
Change the coupler in the snout
Where should I get one? How much?
You can get them a bunch of different places though I'm not sure on the price. Zzp sells them, rockauto, I'm sure there are other places too.
Thanks....what do you have to do to replace em?
Just have to take the bolts out of the snout and split it apart and pull it out and swap them.
Nevermind I found it
Thanks
Since I got a spare supercharger and I'm planning on p&p plus replacing the coupler is there anything else I.should go ahead and replace? I would just assume put the time in just once
nothing that i can think of.. coupler and oil is all it needs.. but remember...THAT CHIT STINKSS!! so minimal waste is a must
Yeah I know it stinks....I accidentally knocked the bottle over when I done it and my garage stunk for like a week
