I said FelPro/GM because I do a lot of installs. As an installer I cringe at the ZZP install kit. First off...their LIM and VC gaskets fit badly. Badly enough I tell the customer that I question the VC's will seal.
Let's look at the most expensive kit... IMO it's missing VC grommets, TB gasket, injector o-rings, and cam lube. Grommets are key to a VC sealing, as is a gasket that fits properly. ZZP's VC gaskets fit their aluminum VC's perfectly...not stock covers. Now you still need springs and retainers, likely you want a fresh chain too.
Kit 4 includes:
- Timing chain dampener
- 12 COMP CAMS reuseable rocker bolts
- supercharger gasket (except L36/22)
- 2 coolant passage O-rings (except L36/22)
- GM oem aluminum intake gasket set
- front cover gasket
- ARP assembly lube
- valve cover gaskets
- crank bolt
- cam bolt
You asked for further input, when I'm working on my car, the parts I mentioend are the ones I'd use.
