Call some junkyards and check craiglist.

Make sure its a low compression motor like yours.

Even try moradpartcompany (tho they are more $$$)

Well, you said decently priced so its either a junkyard, Morad, craigslist, or car-part.com (which searches junkyards). There's no reason to not get a JY motor if you look it over well and get a warranty on it. I picked up my entire GT motor from craigslist from a local guy and it runs just fine. $375 delivered. Maybe find someone parting one out but you can hear it run beforehand?

Or give Jasper a call and see what they can offer.

You might want to look at longblock as well. Often the price isn't much different and then you don't have to do the head gaskets etc.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
