I bought an ls1 tb kit. The catch is that it doesn't have cruise control. Anybody know where I can weld or machine a tab on the tb to make cruise control work again?

Also guys with ls1 throttle bodies with working cruise control can you post pics of your set ups to give me some ideas?

If the mods in your signature are current, you don't need a bigger TB.

If you want to install it anyway... you will need a new bracket for throttle and cruise.

I got it so it would match the inlet on my gen 5 supercharger. I was thinking that the stock throttlebody would be causing a restriction.

Know which vendor sells the bracket? Can I use one made for a north star tb?

Losing cruise is generally expected when going to the LS1 TB. Some people say you can make your own (I lost the thread from here I was looking at earlier)

Others say that some LS1 tb's have cruise and others don't.

You may have been better off getting a N*, since those do come with cruise.

If it's got the tab on the side, then it's got cruise. You need to grind off the flattened part of the throttle shaft that holds that little bracket on, flip it 180* and tack weld it back on. It's less than a 5 minute job. Modify your stock cable bracket to mount on your new setup, and you're done.

Here are some pics of the throttlebody.

Doesn't look like there is a tab for cruise control. Anyone have any ideas of a way to mod this for it to be able to gain Cruise control?

You don't have a tab. You need a tab for cruise.

Answer me this question. Why does a guy who lives in NYC need cruise control?

Thanks Wotgtp. With a picture I can get some idea of how to modify it to regain cruise.

Also Bill, I love getting the heck out of this city!!! I mainly need cruise control on weekends.

This is about the best picture I can find of the tab, and how it's oriented on the linkage.

Well, the plan is to cut the cruise control tab out of the L67 throttle body and weld it on to my LS1 TB. I'll post pictures once its done.
