    i have an 04 grand prix. it overheats when sitting still but cools when moving. A the fans come on when the temp gauge hits 3/4 to hot. can any one help me. i have changed the water pump an the thermsate. so now i am thinking my cooling sensor or the radaitor so i need help thanks everyone

    Do a coolant system flush and bleed out any air in the system when you're done.

    Umm..define “to hot” please.

    I hate to be the one to tell you this but your car is probably operating as designed. Many people believe their GP is running to hot, you would be surprised. Automobile manufactures purposely removed the numbers from the temperature gauges because the old days of the cooler the better are long gone. If this is the case, basically the only way to make it run cooler is by tweaking the PCM and maybe a lower temperature thermostat to go with it.

    Just incase, when you replaced the water pump did you have loads of Dexi-goo in the system? Are you getting any CELs?
