    That vin does not match the VIN pattern for Grand Prixs, try again. The 3rd digit is a number, not a letter.

    8th digit is the engine code, 4 is Supercharged.
    5th digit is the Platform Series code. R is a GTP.

    You infact have a GTP from the factory.

    well it must be just the upgraded gtp engine package and base appearance package to save money for the original owner which was the police dept

    anybody know which wire i can splice from the instrument cluster so i can have a dimmable light for the boost gauge theres five wires

    GTP is a TRIM! You have a GTP TRIM with a lack of OPTIONS!

    You can use any ignition switched fuse or wire to power your cute lil gauge on your GTP.
