You can use TB cleaner to strip the coating. You lose about 3psi of boost w/o coating.

just to make sure the coating is the ``grey`` on the rotor rightÉ not the black loon stuff which i think is carbon. if the coating is the grey right before the shinny silver then its still good. and i thought the coating was the black ish stuff. but after i cleaned it up in varsal it was nice and grey

Partially stripped rotors
Thing to keep in mind is I never suggest cleaning them. Because of the above and that any carbon is helping to seal and give you better compression.
