Has anyone tried to modify an intercooler off a supercoupe to fit a gtp? I'm looking for a cheap alternative to pricey parts.

$1000 is more than the $50 or so I'd spend at the junkyard.
I've never heard of anyone doing it.
It wouldn't take just buying it, like bio was saying it doesn't flow in the same direction to begin with. The pressurized air goes out the TOP of the blower then to the intercooler and then under the blower to the intake manifold.

If you watch the forums there are used sets that are cheaper. Of course there is the Intercooler I sell also.
Not to discourage anyone from trying something new but i doubt it'd be too easy. The supercoupes are air-to-air intercooled from the factory. If you really wanted to go that style you could just get any used FMHE from an air to air system and fabricate the piping and such. But air to air sytem's aren't nearly as effecient so the $ you'd spend to fabricate it(even if it were cheaper than an aftermarket water to air 3800 IC) you still probably wouldn't get astounding results![]()
