Get a new flex pipe from zzp to replace the one that comes on them.

Make sure you have copper rtv, and use lots of it.

The headers replace your down pipe and the pipe is 3" which won't bolt directly to your factory cat.

If you want, get a 3" high flow cat like I did from zzp also. Then use the flange that connects the cat to the res as a reducer and you're all set!

No you cant use your factory downpipe. The headers replace everything in front of the resonator on your exhaust.

Yea you don't need to use your downpipe or your cat. It will come with all the pipe in front of your resonator like slick said.

and unless it's a 3 inch down pipe, it won't bolt up anyways.

Send RTV to Newarrrrrk or anyone else that tells you to use it.

I've installed quite a few and have what I'd like to believe is a good handle on how/what's needed.

    1. Search on how to install headers by me.
    2. 2 x 2.25" and 2 x 3.00" exhaust clamps from Frozenboost.com they are about an inch and a half wide.
New gasket from downpipe to catback from fel pro.

Have a marker and a pounder on hand. Get the rear in and raise it back up..hook a dogbone up then mark where the o2 should hit the firewall. Then unhook/lower again and pull it out. Bash in your firewall. Now put the rear header back in, bolt it up, raise the subframe again and hook that dogbone back up. Put your o2 in. Put the rest together via the instructions in that other thread.

    Like I said.. no rtv
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    That's easy.

It's going to be one of these:
    1. Your O2 wire is touching the spark plug wires.
    2. You cracked a plug when reinstalling them
    3. You messed up your firing order and should check it.
    4. one of your plug wires burnt to a crisp on the hot header.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

zzp sells an O2 extension. You might have pinched your wiring in between the rear header and the block, I did. It sucks but that could be where it's smoking from.

I was told it's cause I don't have my front O2 sensor in. I'm running rich as hell. But is that what's causing the smoke? And shake? When I had the cat on there was no shake!

The flex has nothing to do with the placement of the converter...it goes in after the flex, before the rear o2 sensor.

Also, You can cut the 4 o2 wires and have your own extension for a few bucks...
