I am getting up to 6* of what i believe to be false knock on my 98 gtp. What all are the causes of it? I put new motor mounts in it as it was shot, poly dogbones, flipped sway, O2 clears. I'm at a loss on what to do next. Thanks for listening.

It was just getting like 2-3* then i swapped pcm's to a zzp and it got worse then i swapped back and it didn't get any better![]()
Best thing to do is find considerably higher octane gas than you are currently using. Run that for a while, if knock continues it is likely false. If KR is reduced, its not false.
i can't get any higher than 93 around here
well i just took it for a spin after seeing that my trans fill tube was bent (must have happened when i did the motor mount) and now i'm only getting 2-3* on the stock tune. Custom tune here i come
no cat, new al104's gapped at .05
I figured out my problem. I put my tb screen back in and no more kr![]()
Then...it wasn't very false.
Your maf readings were skewed because of the airflow not being read properly. Probably dropped you into super lean conditions that you "should" have seen in the o2's.
O2 i only have one lol My knock came back after work so i'm thinking my car likes the cooler air better lol. My ft are better now though.
I know you only have one that reads. The readings are referred to as O2's, meaning the various readings from the sensor.
As for your LTFT's, you can't rely on 5 minutes of the screen being in for them to level out.
My knock is still there but my ft is at 1.6 at WOT so that's not to bad right?
So it is adding or subtracting 1.6 at WOT?
Adding. But now i put my stock pcm back in and i'm getting .5* of KR at the most and my ft are +9.2 I'm not sure what to think on that one.
