Ok, so I've finally got my hands on HP tuners and was able to scan my gf's car to see the KR. I'm not too sure about KR since I work with mostly N/A cars. Here is the histogram from hp tuners and lmk what you guys think and how I could help reduce the KR.
EDIT: Mods are FWI, ported s/c, 3.3 pulley, headers, highflow cat, zzp tune......1.9 rockers to be installed.

That scan isn't really bad. To get rid of knock, you would pull however many * of KR you see from your timing table.

So basically I would retune the timing tables and retard the timing 1-3 degrees at the given rpm where the KR is showing up?

I think this sticky goes into detail on how to pull timing with hpt http://www.grandprixforums.net/start...ers-43997.html

If you have a wideband, what's the AFR where the knock happens? If it's really lean, try add fuel before pulling timing. If it still won't go down, pull 1 degree at a time.

What is the timing advance set at WOT?

Anything less than 16* really isn't acceptable...less than stock timing causes high EGT's...which isn't good for under the hood components/electronics and its hard on the valves as well...

As stated you need to add a bit of fuel on the big end. The rockers are leaning the car out.

I'd love to see the o2 voltages on those higher cells. Wideband data would be more helpful, but you gotta work with what you have.

I think what he means is that using narrowband data is like tuning blindly. So it would be pointless regardless. As you stated a wideband would be better.

Indeed, I prefer to have a WB for tuning. But if given the choice between narrowband and nothing at all, I'm going for the narrowband.
