    Is the heads in my 97 Gtp aluminum and I was told from a few poeple that the studs brake off a lot when u try taking ur manifolds off any one have that problem

    no they are not aluminum, and yes, sometimes mani bolts can break. soak the sh*t out of them w pb blaster!

    Did any of the come with aluminum heads cuz my buddie works at a junk yard and said he got one in with aluminum heads and he could get them for like 300 but I didn't no if they even came like that its sapose to be 2000 if that matters

    3.1 and 3.4 had aluminum heads.

    3.8 were all cast iron and yes expect the studs to break when uninstalling even with PB blaster etc. When they do drill them out and just replace them with a nut and bolt. Had to do that on my 97.

    how do i get to the back to drill whats the best way to do it

    Just drill through the front facing the firewall. If you can't get it then you will have to remove the manifold. Theres also a nut welded on to the manifold(backside) where the crossover meets. So you will have to drill through that.

    Hopefully they won't break. If they do i found the fastest way is to weld a nut at the end of the bolt. It comes out much easier that way.
