    Is the heads in my 97 Gtp aluminum and I was told from a few poeple that the studs brake off a lot when u try taking ur manifolds off any one have that problem

    No, the heads are cast iron. Not aluminum.

    And I have never had an issue with the studs breaking off in the heads. I have had a problem with the studs to bolt the crossover on break off.

    Like Zef said, the heads are cast iron. They also tend to have valve cover leaks (keeps the bolts lubed) and since the bolts are in the heads, they get heated daily.

    I've had 2 bolts out of hundreds (maybe thousands) break. It was pure coincidence and or they were previously banged up. Many guys put on headers and pull the bolts w/o any issues ever.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
