Header envy...
Can't see those being properly sized for a stock cam though.
Can you SSAC guys post a pic of the headers from underneath the vehicle, I'm wondering if that little down pipe would be a good idea here in Alaska. Already broke my exhaust a bunch before, but a more careful driver meow.
I noticed a psi or so INCREASE going from my custom Pacesetter's to SD's.
So...not sure if it also had to the with the port work on the heads...but SD's gave me a TAD more low end...which is something I didn't really need.
SD's with stepped band clamps and RTV. I could never get the dp to seal with the u clamps, no issues with the band clamps.
SD headers with stepped band clamps no RTV and no leaks, I even used the stock flex pipe. Only problem is the damn thing scrapes the road a lot.
Yeah, no scrapes here.
The U bend piece rots quick though.
Going to try header paint for this winter.
I'm using SSAC's on mine. didn't really have a problem fitting them. Just had to jump up an down on the front header/cross over to bend it to seal right. Also from a tip from benner I removed the tranny dip stick tube and the rear header went right in. Without removing it, I spent at least an hour trying to get it behind the valve cover.
on C/H chassis cars --- swap to a W body stick and LEAVE IT IN for the install. 99 and earlier should require no further work and install from underneath and 2000+ may require slight massage or cradle movement. On my 99 PAU i had to remove the heatshield for the steering rack/lines (which did nothing anyways) but this may not apply to you. otherwise just use band clamps and RTV on each joint and you should be good to go.
even my EGR sealed with a bit of copper RTV. and that's a PITA to get to seal normally.
anyone try or hear anything about the wbodystore headers?
DONT GET OBX! THEY DONT FIT RIGHT!. I had to have a bunch of stuff re-welded because of bad fitment issues. Now that they are on correctly, I guess Im happy with them. Im one of the few who likes to wrap my headers. Even when they are hot you can almost grab on them and hold onto them. I have 20k on wrapped headers with no issues!
SSAC Here. Umm i used to have pics but it wouldn't do me any good to take more now because i'm lowered.
speed daddy's here. used to scrape a lot, but i fixed all that junks...i only scrape if i go over speed bumps too rough now...which i avoid at all costs
I've got SSAC's not yet fully installed though, going to do that tomorrow after I finish getting the supercharger back together. I'll try to remember to get some pics for you.
PS. I am at stock ride height.
