So after I installed the SSIC, when there's hot weather like today and I'm in stop and go kind of traffic with the A/C on, the engine temps can go past 100*C. If I turn the A/C off it gets below 100, but doesn't get back to 85 until I get out of the traffic zone.

Does anyone one have any tips on how to keep them lower?

seems normal to me, when theres zero air coming through the rad to cool it and the motor, temps will always rise, even with your fans on high its still going to heat soak no matter what.

Get a bigger radiator (monte carlo) or get a colder t-stat.

Yeah I was thinking maybe a bigger radiator or more powerfull fans. too bad the montecarlo didn't come out in Mexico in 97+. But I can still see if there's one in autozone or rockauto, if that's a known fix that helps, I guess it's worth the try.

If I leave it like that, it's not going to hold next year in may - jun. It gets carzy here.
