$3200? Did you rebuild the entire motor yourself or pay someone to do it? I'd say get a used stock head, slap it on and call it done. Then just a new timing set and you're good to go. Assuming nothing else needs to be replaced besides the HG. What all are you getting for this amount?

Are the pistons ok in the cylinders that had bent valves or are they chipped/cracked?

im surprised you were able to get 1000 miles on a backwards magnet. and bent valves because of it >.>

My dad was the one who put on the timing set so I'm figuring it was him who put it on backwards. I would get stock heads but because of my xp cam, I had to get the guides machined down. We said screw the extra 2 grand to get it done so we're doing the work ourselves. So I got the motor ripped apart now. Looks like 3 of the exhaust valves got bent. Which is weird considering the intake has a higher lift. One of the pistons has a little nick but its nothing to worry about. On my way to get the heads checked out now

A backwards magnet would not cause anything to break.... I imagine you just broke one of the thousands of faulty JP chains out there.
