Thread: Changing fuel lines

Ok so my engine bay is a rats nest, and my fuel lines need redone. Id like to switch to stainless braided lines, or anything put the plastic ones. The evap sits in front since thats where it was on the L36. My return fruel line is also kinked. Ive read the write up like 5 times but I have no idea what the guy is talking about. Suggestions?

Can someone at least tell me what type of fittings i need to connect to the stock fuel rail and then from stainless hose to my regular hose?

and dont get jegs brand of hose, i can smell gas vapor in my engine bay sometimes.

and its much easier to do it with the motor out, but still is a pain to do it.

I assume you use the swagelok fittings to connect from the metal fuel lines? Is there anywhere else to get the same thing? I still cant figure out what fittings to use to connect to the stock fuel rail. If i could find that out I think i could figure out the fittings for the rail connector to the hose and then from the hose to the metal line connector.

What size is the fitting that connects to the EVAP?

Who has evap? But I think it is a 5/16 line.

kind of a thread jack here but what would it take to move the evap?

Delete it but to move it extend the line going to the engine and move the purge selonoid where ever you want and run the sites to it
