Thread: Broken plastic hose, vacuum leak, help needed!

Hey guys! So yeah my engine started making a weird noise lately, coming from the driver side. I checked the components and found a broken plastic hose. It is located under the throttle body and the intake on the side part of the vacuum system. Its a black plastic component with two exits, one that is connected to some sort of sensor which is red and blue. It is next to that grey electrical cylinder component (sorry I don't know the name)

The check engine light came on and I'm almost sure it is a vacuum leak. Can someone please help me find the name of that component. I just don't want to go to GM and pay a crazy price for something I might be able to find used. Thanks!

thats your evap hose.

so if the nipple broke off of the evap sensor you can replace the evap sensor and be all set.

Is there a specific part name because I can't find it anywhere...Evap canister maybe?

on rockauto.com its under emissions and is called a Vapor Canister Solenoid
