Hey guys I don't a gtp but I do have an 04 ss and the guys on the impala forum I tried were dicks so I figured there was probly more general knowledge of the l67 cars on a gtp forum anyway.

Anyway my car has been missing a little and it the code P0171- sys too lean (bank 1)......

What would most likely be the culprit here.

X2...check all the rubber "T" fittings around the blower/fuel rail/LIM/EVAP/TB/MAP...most likely dry rotted...common issue.

yeah i agree with the other posts vacuum is probably the best place to start. It should be at 20psi at idle and around 10-15psi when giving it gas. Bank 1 is associated with the front 3 cylinders in the front of the car. It would be cylinder 1, 3, 5. If vacuum is good check fuel pressure off of regulator. Good luck

    -20 psi is impossible

-20 in Hg is what it should be at while idling not in gear with the A/C off.

well i checked the vacuum fitting and it was damaged and has been taped by crappy mechanic work but i taped it back up and i havent thrown the code again but its still missing and when it misses its a pretty strong jerk. It has also started making a slight knock/rattle sound somewhere

this engine is brand new. it was just put in back around christmas. this car is starting to be a pain in the ass
