OK, my bro and I picked up the parts car for his L67 swap into his 98 GT 2-door. Going to start planning out the build on this engine before we swap it in the car.

The car is a daily driver, but really want to make it fast as hell.

Right now it is the stock GTP automatic, but we're planning on a 284 swap, so it will be a manual build when we swap in the engine.

I got a 3.3 pulley with the car, not sure if that is good or not.

Probably going to run the stock GTP shortblock, heads will be redone (3-angled and ported)

So, throw out some suggestions for the build. He really wants to run 12s with the car, which I think is easily obtainable. Maybe not with him driving it right now, he's not so good at stick yet. My driving, definitely.

Tranny will be built at the same time, would be stupid to do all this work to stick a stock trans in at the same time as the built engine.

And I've been reading, lots of good stuff, but a lot of totally useless stuff as well.

stop where you are and rethink your strategy. you're going to dump massive amounts of money into a car and keep up with a lightly modded LSx car.

It is his first car, hence why he wants to do this. He's had it for a long time now, just wants to have some fun with it.

I already own a highly modded LSx car, so he won't be able to keep up with me anyway.
