Hello forum. Just bought a 2000 GTP and when I take off from a dead stop and PUNCH it, the car spins the tires for a second....looses all power and the takes off. The boost comes on, but I dont feel it pulling like it should.

OK, new update. Got the car on a scan tool at my buddy's shop. P0102,P0172 and P1133. Two O2 and one mass air. The mass air code was handled by just cleaning it. The O2 was reading wierd, but not faulty. The car was way rich all through the ranges even at idle causing surging. 2 things were found. The aftermarket air intake from when I bought it had three different sized adapters inside causing a restriction in side before the mass air. The stock boot from a doner car and a straight section on PVC to the cone filter and problem with idle richness corrected and the bog is gone. Secondly found that for some reason there was alot of timing in the car ( 33 deg ). Did a relearn on the crank sensor and car runs, idles and drives great now.
