Yes I have the XP and 3.29 gears and I had an S1X with 2.93 gears. The S1X>XP IMO. I did have a great deal of fun with a sportbike and a new mustang today. from a 50 MPH roll, the sport bike would quickly gain momentum after a couple of seconds and start to pull on me. The poor Mustang on each run would fall farther back in the rearview mirror. The wife acted like she was mad, but was smiling while complaining.

Brian, when I drive to work if I'm driving at 60 the emgine is turning around 1700 rpm at about 5% TPS, when my car was stock 10% TPS increase would pick up speed very quickly to pass a car without any effort. Now, even with the 3.29 gearing that same 5% to 10% TPS increase at 60 MPH and 1700 RPM's will not pick up as quick. It takes more throttle to achieve the same pick up. Although once that shift or TCC unlocks due to the increase in TPS, the pick up becomes greater.

My problem is I pay attention to eveything. I rarely have my radio on because it messes with my ability to listen and feel for any changes in operation. OCD FTL

Um, I do? I rarely go over 2k rpm while driving around town. VS cam FTW.

If you guys are watching the stock tach, you'd be surprised at how off it is. I'm just saying, in town your converter usually isn't locked up so you're going to be over 2000 rpm.

    XP FTW, tuner FTW.

I don't really have a problem in town. Low rpm low tps is more of a hiway thing for me.

to the OP you aren't going to get a straight unbiased answer here. There are also very few people here that have run both cams. This may or may not be helpful but check this out http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...anguage=single
On a daily driver I prefer quick versus fast and IMO the S1X even with stock gearing feel quicker that the XP with 3.29. As I was reading through posts comparing cams and people asking about one for their daily driver, it seems many don't get what the DD's are looking for. I see references to going WOT from 0 to 50% TPS. Going WOT from anywhere, if your tune is right, will likely acheive close to the same results. When we daily drive under normal operation we are not going WOT.

The other thing to consider especially on a DD, is the boost bleed off. Since the XP bleeds off so much boost, you should be able to run a larger pulley with the S1X to acheive the same boost...anyone see the the potential benefits of running a larger pulley?

Now we have the less important, but important none the less, exhaust sound. On my car the exhaust note is sooo much better with the XP.
