Does yours backfire out the exhaust if you let off the gas right before it shifts into second?

nah, no backfiring...
-Update, I put factory air box on today, and cleaned the butterfly reallll good...Looks as if someone took a dump inside my supercharger... anyways she doesn't studder at start-up anymore. I can't even tell if it's missing anymore, except the few times she had a hard time cranking. It's running a lot better after cleaning around the butterfly but even after 15mins of disconnecting the neg. on the battery cable, she's still throwing the code.
soooo still no fix....I'm debating reallll hard on trading her in at the dealership for a Chevy Cruize.
I would have them take a look at it before you trade though, The grand prix in my opinion is a much better car
I might take a crack at dropping mine off at another dealer with experience for a day to see if they can find anything, if not i'll keep my eyes open fora wrecked gxp at auctions and do a little conversion.
Well there really is no place around here who does injector testing...my only options is this: gmpartsdirect.com: Alternate GM Catalog
which they are fairly cheap if I only needed one but 6 is easily $200
The dealer should beable to do it, I dont think it takes very long unless they find something and dig deeper.
well I was doing some reseach and I read that most places charge like $30-$40 bucks per injector test and cleaning. well hell for that price I can replace them with brand new ones from GM parts direct...
Just so you guys know, PROBLEM FIXED..!!
I traded her for a 2011 Honda Civic EX-L
and will be trading that one for a 2012 Honda Civic EX-L when they arrive
Your kidding.
Nope...Had to do it...
kind of like the little booger...
I couldn't get it inspected, I'm a college student and gas was Freaking killing me, especially since the GP NEEEEEDDSSS 93 octane..
The GP will be missed but I think it was time to move on...Hey, atleast the Honda is fully loaded...Except the SI version, but I didn't buy it to race, I bought it to be dependable and great on gas, really...
My GTP is doing the same thing. I changed all plugs and wires, the map sensor, cleaned the maf sensor checked for vacuum leaks. I think it might have something to do with the whole in my resonator. Would that cause my car to run like crap, idle funky, occasionally die when stopped and hiccup?
check the valve timing. i dont know if chains can skip teeth, but ive seen TONS of belts skip.
suzie, your resonator doesnt effect the engine at all. it might set a SES light, but it wont run any different.
Well its been a while since I posted here that my cylinder 4 misfire code came up. along with similiar issues mentioned in this thread
Today aprox 15,000 km later cylinder number 4 blew....fire out the exhaust and caught the back bumper on fire.
Have to do a teardown now to see what damage occured. End of the plug is smashed, Guessing busted piston and head gasket.
Compression test in cylinder 4 shows only 30 psi with all other cylinders in normal spec.
