I bought a set of bare ported and polished heads, and ended up buying 11 used valves off another guy (the guy was missing one), so I also bought 1 new valve. When I get my heads machined, cleaned up and put together, will the shop automatically seat each valve properly? Or will I have to pay extra to get that done? They quoted me $320 per head to get them bolt-on ready. I'm just not sure if any extra service will be recommended or required for the used valves. Thanks.

I would have gotten new valves... Depending on the condition of the valves/heads would depend what they charge you.

Yea I wish I could afford new ones, but I'm a broke ass student. The used valves had low mileage so I thought they would be okay.

With my ported and polished heads, do I need anything special done to the intake manifold gaskets, or the head gaskets? Or will the stock ones work fine?

Head gaskets are fine since you really can't do anything there...have the heads gasket matched and the exhaust ports hogged out but still kept in the factory "D" shape
