How hard is the back one to do? What are the main challenges? Thanks for reading

If you want to do it yourself it's not to bed rock the motor forward after disconnecting the dog bones... Loosen up the alt bracket and remove the valve cover, clean it up real good put new gasket back in rtv a couple corners to keep the gasket in place and put everything back together. Shouldn't take you any longer than a couple hours
Already had the took it for the recall. They screwed it up and broke my super charger actuator in the process. My bro and I are doin it. And thank for the info
you shouldnt need to use RTV if the gaskets are right.
they should fit in the valve covers snugly.
If they dont, a dab here or there in the valve cover gasket channel on the VC itself then put the gasket in.
Make sure you get new grommets.
Dealership only changes the front and no grommets IIRC.
For the rear you'll probably have to take the alternator and belt tensioner off, coolant will come out and you will want to have two new coolant elbows to go back in because once they've been installed, the o-rings crush and will leak. If they're REALLY old they'll snap when trying to get the tensioner off.
Its a good idea to take this off just to change those elbows.
Also a good time for a coolant change/flush.
