ive heard just to remove it and have the bbv see open atmosphere instead of the pcm trying to control boost. I tried running the solenoid and did some logging with my tuner, i got intresting results. With the solenoid i got 10 psi of boost which i don't think is accurate and i had 3* of knock. When i unplugged the solenoid i was getting 7 psi of boost and 0 knock. Can someone explain this to me? i did these runs the same way back to back. If its better i wanted to remove the solenoid but, with my 97 the vacuum line goes from the bbv to the solenoid then into the blower. I could run a vaccum line from the bbv back into the blower, or i could plug off the nipple on the blower and run open atmosphere. Is it better to keep the solenoid or delete it?
