I just put an intake on my 2006 GT and found this in my airflow box.

It looks like it needs to stay dry due to its location. Is there a way i can relocate it to be able to remove the rest of the filter box and where is a good location? And what is it for?

Sorry about the poor quality picture.

That is your PCM, yes you can move it, and NO it doesnot need to be in a dry area. They are sealed from any moisture

if its the PCM you can just let it sit there where the stock air box was.

if you want to get rid of the ugly sight from where the airbox is too but want to keep the tray just cut the top part of the box off. I did it and it works nicely keeps the PCM in place

I decided to take out the box and zip tie it so it won't move. I also but the soft side of velcrow to the underside of the PCM so if it does move it won't scretch anything up.

take the ribbed tubing off and replace it with a smooth AT LEAST 3" piece of pipe, 4" would be ideal. that is the restrictive part of the intake, not the air box.

Or just bolt the MAF to the TB...and then the cone to the end of the MAF...but I'd do what that guy^^ said.

this was stage 1. First warm day since I got this car that I could play with it. I was planning on making a CAI and use pvc to run it to the fender. So I can go from TB and use a rubber fitting to connect the MAF and then pipe to cone?
