    hey all

couple days ago i noticed my EGR was sticking, which was fine the car just needed more gas than usual to get going. well that problem got worse and one day leaving my parents house to head home, my car has trouble reaching higher RPM. and from the next stop the SES light starts to flash and the car shakes horribly. after getting home i find the code is a misfire on cylinder 1.

after this i remove the EGR and block both ports off. and still saw no change, i have pulled the fuel rails and moved the injector to another cylinder, and then got a p0300 code after startup with that.

do i need to put the EGR back in for this car to function properly?
is the multiple misfire code just a result of me not clearing the cylinder 1 misfire when i started the car after pulling the fuel rail.
should i torch the gp and collect the insurance money?

Try swapping coils, see if the misfires follows said coilpack.

tried swapping the wire to a different cylinder and the mis didn't move. my guess is on the injector cuz when i moved it my misfire moved. so i'm going to clean out the rails when i get new injectors here if this works. and if not i'll take OBO for the car lmao

tried cleaning the injector and got nothing so far. ordered a set of injectors from a member on here. and if that's not the issue then i'll prolly scrap the car, sell off everything i can.

solved the misfire problem, it was a mixture of the LIM gasket and the fuel filter. so i left my parents garage tonight and notice the lights were getting dim, 2 miles into driving i'm showing 9 volts on my scan gauge. 9 volts turns into 7, turns into stalling. car was so gutless after that i couldn't get it into a parking lot after 2 jumps.

i guess i gotta replace the battery and the alternator but shouldn't the battery have held up through some of this abuse through the drive? i'm not showing a dead short but can there be one? and on the wiring harness where can i ground to chasis? i picked under the coil pack against the heads.

Check your grounds. The same thing happened to me and when I looked I had a cracked negative terminal on the battery. Made my car do all kinds of weird things. Just a suggestion!

    Problem Solved!
The power issue was a bad alternator due to zzp's voltage booster's poorly put together connector shorting to ground... i'm starting to dislike anything ZZP has released.

although, i guess my MAP sensor has takin a crap to the point where the DIC shows 3 bars of boost at idle -_- FML
