take a dremel to your exhaust manifolds, take out the u-bend, higher octane gas, open cone filter, colder plugs might do it. i probably wouldn't do it to my car. find somebody with a scanner to scan for knock afterwards
99 GT - top swapped, S2X cam. - sadly, sold

    ZZ Performance
zzp sayswelding to the cat is requied. i wouldn't buy this^^, just have a shop weld in a piece of pipe and deal with the code it throws for not having the o2 sensor. or build an emulator

    You'd go faster on a 3.8.

Most good muffler shops should know about the U bend that exists on your car.

You should be able to get them to remove it for a nominal fee.

That and a street tune would really wake up your car.

Dropping a pulley would mean more torque and less power.

You'd make more power between 2500 and 4000 which is where these engines already have all the power in the world.

What you want is top end power.

Which brings me to the beginning of my post.

3" downpipe will give ya a little seat of the pants, make your own intake, and then possibly drop to a 3.6 pulley, but you'd probably want a tune as well.

I agree on the 3" DP. Pulley drop will just hurt at this point.

3" DP...take off the front manifold and hog it out...take off your blower...port it as well...if you handy with tools thats free minus the gaskets. Put a cone filter on the TB...or do whatever you want to for an intake...its kinda up to you there. PEM's and a 3" DP used to be the alternative to headers...but now that headers are so cheap, PEM's went to the way side really. It's your money, your car. Do what you will...a 3.6" probably wouldn't kill it but if I were you I'd buy a scan gauge...like an Aeroforce. That way if you do drop to a 3.6" you can see if your getting any knock or not. I'm pretty sure with DIY ported manifolds, a 3" DP, whatever intake you happen to run and a ported blower...I'm sure a 3.6" would be fine.

But like I'd do it...make sure your knock free, otherwise a 3.8" pullied car WILL be faster since you'd be pulling timing when you start knocking.

Why do you feel the need to mod something so bad?
Save your money and just do it right if you are going to do it at all
And do not put any money into modding that civic

250 bucks in a civic nets a quarter of a HP.

250 bucks in a blown WBody...nets prolly close to 50 crank horse with a pulley and headers.

Wish in one hand...sh1t in the other...kinda like that.
