My 07 GTP wont heat up. It will get close to the halfway point (200 I assume) but 90% of the time it stays just above 1/4 and the heat is horrible cuz of that. I just changed the thermostat and bleed it just untill it ran solid coolant. Does anyone have any other guesses? Could I just need a flush theres no leaks anywhere.

its possible your heater core is already plugged up.

So I checked both hoses going to and from the heater core both warm. Could not enough collant make it not warm up enough. Thats backwards to me but could it happen?

Not enough coolant in the system (i.e.- air is still somewhere in the system) could cause low heat. Does the temp gauge bouce around at all?Have you tried warming the car up for 15 min. or so, then driving it? Might have a bad thermostat.

Im going to give bleeding the system a shot again today or tomorrow. Apperantly its a longer prcess than I gave it. I already did the thermastat but yea it bounces around a lil but mainly jusy doesnt get to operating temp.

From what you have wrote I can tell you your car is heating up normally, and that your thermostat is/was functioning normally. Your problem isn’t the coolant temperature. My car heats up exactly as you have indicated, you should probably expand your search. I would be more concerned about having enough coolant in the car vs bleeding it for the tenth time. Have you checked for proper air flow? You might have a damper issue.

If it is not blowing very hard, check your cabin filter underneath the windshield wiper panel.

No its blowing good. Im thinking its a air in the lines issue. I just dont think i gave it enough time and I think I just did it well not really good at all.
