you're SUPPOSED to: get drunk -> eat chicken -> work on cars

IIRC PRJ's site claims 11 hours for a cam.

hardest part is getting the will to do something which will drastically shorten the life of your transmission.

I was about to say...Nick musta never been to a mod day because there is always drinking and bullsh1tting.

The install itself probably only takes ~5 hours...with air tools. Without air tools...maybe a day...because I'd be lazy about it...drink...and grill.

the only way your gonna end up saving money with a rocker setup is if you get 1.84s so you can keep your stock springs and retainers.... if your goin 1.9s you may aswell spend the extra couple hundred and go cammed....

I have the 1.84s and they are really nice if yours is a DD... AND you can throw them on and not need a tune for it to run like you would if you put a cam in...

its all pro con though and depends if you have access to a tuner on demand or not...

so you really just need to ask yourself your ultimate goal....

do you want an 11-12sec car that may or may not be dependable or do you want a 12-13 sec car that you can drive everyday year round and it still be dependable?

not saying a cam isn dependable at all im just saying its less...

Personally Im 100% happy with my rocker setup... I drive my car everyday, year round, still get good gas millage and can hold my own at a stoplight. I have a stock trans and the same engine that came in the car (knock on wood) and make a little over 300 to the wheels...

so if the only thing that is stopping you is money, then save it. I mean, thats the reason alot of guys like me got the plog and DP combo intead of headers at the beginning like we should have, so we could save a couple bucks :/...

    just my .02...
"My car is a racecar like Planet Fitness is a gym...."

proud mark VIII victim!!! suck it...

It all depends on how you drive...nothing else matters. Your car can be bone stock and if you beat the trash out of it...it'll break.

And a cam is less what...dependable? Cmon man...your just saying that because you won't man up and cam your car.
