I just bought a 2000 GTP. The supercharger does not seem to be giving any boost at all. Help... First supercharger and I am an amateur with cars so I wont understand acronyms like (BBV, PCM, etc...)

    Thanks!!

install a real boost gauge and tell us what it's doing.

there is really only a few things that can happen:

    - boost bypass valve solenoid sticking, therefore its limiting you to about 4 pounds
    - big enough vacuum leak to create a problem, also probably limiting you to a lower boost level
    - you have no belt on your supercharger

how do you know that its not boosting?

little digital gauge not showing any at Wide Open Throttle (WOT)?

    Couple bars showing?

Full bars at WOT, but not difference in acceleration?

Or is it because the blower is quiet?

Because it being quiet is because your car prolly has stock intake on it.

The indicator in the middle is showing full dashes when I floor it. However I have watched a few videos on YouTube of Superchargers and I am not hearing any whine.... Actually on the highway its very faint.

The car is giving excellent power though. I owned a 04 GT2 previously and this car feels like it has much more power.

This may be a VERY dumb question...but could it be a fuse? (lol dont laugh at me Im an amateur)...

You wont hear it unless you put a aftermarket intake on it, like what matt said

The intake is definite stock. I replaced the air filter today no difference...

    Yea...

slap it on your TB and remove most of your air box.

you can leave the big part with the PCM (cars computer) there so the PCM doesnt move around.

wont interfere with your air filter.

Actually no, you wanna get more air out.

but you wanted to know how to make the blower whine audible....

Throw some speed daddy headers on with that intake, colder plugs, t-stat and smaller pulley and tune and bam.

it'll seem like a whole new animal.

read the link in my sig for more details.

Go with spectre. Sometimes k&n doesn't treat the MAF well.

spectre filter is oiled just like a k&n

get a dryflow filter if your worried about it.

i went to pepboys, bought a 22* 4" chrome elbow, 3"-4" silicone adpter, and spectre filter. BAM a nice looking intake for $50.00.
