Whats the difference in the pontiac chargers used on the bonnevill, gtp and the buick GS all with the 3.8l?

I know there is a short and long snout, which goes to what?

I have a new one and want to know what it is for.

    it depends on the year.

this is the series 1 motor supercharger.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-...ts_Accessories

this is the supercharger the came out in 95 and went on till 03.
    http://www.rebuiltsuperchargers.com/100_0011.jpg

and this is the GEN V supercharger off the 04+ GTP's. If you look closely you can see that the this one is alot bigger than the one befor.

buick, pontiac, and chevy all had the same motor and supercharger.

BUT in 04+ they got bigger for pontiac and buick stopped making the SC motors.

Impala had them from 04-05 like the Monte Carlo. Park Avenue also had the blower option in both Series I and Series II.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I may have a gen 1. The documentation doesn't specifyit just has a GM part #.
Out of curiosity how much is it worth? It s an OEM new never installed not a reman from GM.

    Not much.

    No one mods those cars.

M90 Gen III's go for as little as $100 (sometimes lower).

    So even less.

Unless you found the right buyer.

    That's the M62 blower isn't it?

Don't the Cobalt SS's Supercharged cars come with M62's?

Yes but they have Gen V M62's.

Thats probably a gen III or older.

Remember they ran a sub 3" pulley just to make enough boost to make some power?

wow.. that sounds inefficient like a lot of over heated air. I guess that modified snowblower is starting to sound better and better...

Might as well just put it on CL and sell it to some kid and tell him to put it on his Prelude...I've seen that done.

Not QUITE true... there are some mild differences between them, I found this out putting a SII L67 from a Bonnie in my GTP... notice the differences, nothing major, but still a difference...

    From the Bonnie -

Old One From My GTP -

There is a little Tee, you can just cap it off, but its still there. Just some misc. useless info to have. They bolt up the same, blow the same, but they are in fact different
