So i am almost done putting my top swap together. I installed a vs cam, headers, and a ported blower. I am having a hard time finding someone here in Atlanta to tune my 97 regal GS. I was hoping i would be able to swap pulleys to a 3.4 during tuning to see if i could get away with it. Is there a good way to get a good tune with the 3.8 pulley for now so i can atleast drive the car. So many diff opinions on canned tunes but i cant find a good tuner here that will do it. Any ideas or rec ?

zzp was pretty decent on my caned tune when I went Poopercharged. About the only option you might have unless you have a tuner. I have a few HPT files that could get you started if you have a tuner. To run a 3.4 on a Top swap you need a pump rewire and 42.5 injectors or higher FWIW

I'd suggest stock pulley until you get a custom tune.

id also suggest upgrading to either a n* or ls1 t/b and external maf or getting a 99-up style t/b and maf.

the 97 maf's don't take well to tuning.

get a dhp and i can send you a bin file that you can start with

There are a few differences. Vac controlled trans and the TB's IIRC. I am sure someone will chime in too.

'97 GTP had the same 4T65E-HD that the later model's up to '02 had. '97's had a different TB/Vacuum tree on the blower, they also had the funky '97-'98 Alternator Alum. bracket and different alternator. Coolant bottle was also over by the air box instead of over on the passenger side strut tower. Most '97's also didn't have the option for TCS...they just didn't have it.
    Sold WBody's: '03 Blue GTP/'98 Green GTP/'98 Silver GT/'05 GXP
    '99 Chevrolet Silverado Classic Z71 4x4 - K&N Intake/Gibson Exhaust #TRUCKTHINGS
    '12 Buick Regal Turbo - ZZP CAI/20% Tint/HID's
    '89 Ford Mustang LX Notchback - LM7 5.3, 4L80, 9", HX40
    '04 Chevrolet Corvette MRM A4/LS1 - TSP LT's, 3"O/R X, AFE S2 CAI
