Hello, i am new here so maybe someone here can help me. i just bought a 1998 grand prix gtp and has run fine up until now. i drove to the store, went in and when i came out it would not start. it will start and run for about two seconds then die. i think it could be the fuel pump but i can hear it run when the key is turned on so not sure if that could be it. i am going to test the fuel rail pressure tomorrow to see if we are getting gas but i wondered if you guys knew of any sensors that could cause this issue or something besides the fuel pump or filter. there were no codes that poped up. i am doing this myself because i dont feel like paying a shop to do what i can do myself but having fairly limited knowelge on computer run cars i could use all the help i can get.
    thanks

try unplugging your mass airflow sensor and see if it runs better. if so then the MAF is bad

Yep, it was the fuel pump ballast resistor located behind the right front fender behind the light.
