So I plan on getting headers soon, and I was wondering if I should stay with the 3.8 and pump up the timing or go to the 3.4. I thought I remember hearing something like that by someone on here. I don't want to have to worry about kr in the winter, and it sounds like quite of few people are still having kr problems. I know this could probably be cured with a better tune. Anyways, I plan on going to e85 later down the road and will have the supercharger port and polished.

leave the stock pulley for now. winter will nip you in the ass with overboosting.

I'm pretty sure you were the one I heard saying to leave the 3.8 on, but I didn't want to start trowing words in people's mouths lol.

I probably won't do headers till Christmas break or even spring break. I've been so busy lately since I switched to Industrial Engineering.

I put a 3.5 in without exhaust mods (I am 1100m above sea level), pulled timing to remove kr. I am sure a combinatioin of pulley, and tuning would help the engine alot with the headers. I have headers ordered, just need time to install them.

Meh, I didn't ever have an issue in winter. It's your call, just toss the headers on there and let it ride. It'll be way quicker than it was before, boosted cars LOVE cold air. Toss that 3.4" on it with a tune during spring break.

Go modular and start with a 3.4

I've got headers with a 3.4 and with temps near freezing, no issues as of yet. Totally stock blower and engine internals. I see a blip of KR here and there but I do no matter the temp, likely false KR.
